Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether the data entry on our websites (e.B. in a contact form) is carried out by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.B IP address, length of stay of the website visitor on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

The data processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offers from abusive automated spying and SPAM.

Further information on Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy can be found in the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland, for managing JavaScript and HTML tags used to implement tracking and analysis tools, which allows website tags to be managed through an interface using a pixel. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookieless domain, so it does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data.

The tool is technically necessary: it triggers other tags, which in turn may collect (personal) data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data, only aggregated data is processed to trigger tags. The data is automatically deleted 14 days after retrieval.

If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it will remain in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Further information on data protection can be found on the following Google websites: Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de; FAQ Google Tag Manager: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/faq.html; Google Tag Manager Terms of Service: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

The legal basis for the use of Google Tag Manager is Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR, our legitimate interest results from the purpose described above and the functionality of the tool.

Google Analytics

On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by “Google”, i.e. Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and, for consumer services in the European Economic Area (EEA), Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin4, Ireland, see https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9012600and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de&gl=DE&utm_source=google&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Emmett.

The use of Google’s services with data processing (also) in third countries such as the USA is based on standard data protection clauses within the meaning of Art. 46 para. 2 c) GDPR, see https://privacy.google.com/intl/de/businesses/compliance/ under “Updated terms of use and contractual protective measures”. An overview of the included services (including Google Analytics) can be found under https://privacy.google.com/businesses/adsservices/. The “Data Processing Terms” can be viewed by Google as a processor here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/processorterms/ and for Google as controller here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/adsservices/. We would like to point out that Google may also transfer personal data to third countries with (possibly) insufficient data protection levels and process them there, in particular. in the USA, where there are extensive, not limited to the necessary extent, access possibilities of the US security authorities to (personal) data of the data subjects against which there are no effective legal protection options.

Google Analytics uses cookies, which in particular enable an analysis of how you use the website. This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID.

In particular, the cookies and the user ID process the following data: session duration (length of stay on the website), bounce rate (leaving the website without interaction), orders, creation of accounts, viewing reviews, playing media, adding to favorites, previously visited websites.

The information generated by the cookies and the user ID about your use of our website is usually also transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. Both Google and government agencies have access to this data.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website activity and internet usage.

We use Google Analytics for the needs-based design and regular improvement of our website – also for advertising purposes – in order to analyse the use of our website with the help of Google Analytics in particular and to create pseudonymous user profiles in order to be able to recognize and count returning visitors as such and to find out how often our website is accessed by different users. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user.

On our website we use Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are further processed in abbreviated form, so that direct personal reference can be excluded. We therefore process your personal usage data anonymously in Google Analytics. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

In addition, Google also processes the data for its own purposes, in particular for the purpose of providing its web analysis and tracking service, see https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/de/. Google is therefore jointly responsible with us for data processing, the requirements of Art. 26 GDPR are observed. We have also made a joint responsibility arrangement with Google.

Google may pass on personal data to third parties with the aim of creating personal advertising and linking it to personal data obtained from other contexts, Google evaluates the data comprehensively, see https://policies.google.com/privacy. The data processing is therefore essentially carried out by Google. The data processed by Google is not anonymous, Google uses it for any of its own purposes such as profiling and links it with other data (e.B. search history, personal Google account, usage data of other devices) that Google has for the respective user.

We use Google Analytics exclusively with your consent, Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR.

Once you have given your consent, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future, for example by:

  • prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent;

Further information on the terms of use and data protection of or from Google Analytics can be found under http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or under https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/

Google  Ads

On our website, with your consent, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) GDPR, we also use the online advertising tool “Google Ads” for so-called remarketing and in this context conversion tracking (visit action evaluation), also services of “Google”, i.e. Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and, for services aimed at consumers in the European Economic Area (EEA), of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin4, Ireland, see https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9012600 and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de&gl=DE&utm_source=google&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Emmett.

Google Ads enables advertising based on your browsing habits on other websites in the Google Display Network (Google, so-called “Google Ads” and other websites). Your surfing behaviour on our websites is analysed so that other websites can show you advertising that matches your interests. For this purpose, Google uses cookies that can be used to identify your browser on a specific computer – but not a user. Personal details are not stored.

We only use Google Ads with activated IP anonymization. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other EEA contracting states. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser will not be merged with other Google data.

When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer. The cookie is used to create statistics on so-called “conversion rates”. This reflects the relationship between visits to a website and use of the services offered. These cookies have a limited validity (30 days), do not contain any personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification.

If you visit our websites and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and you were redirected to our website. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Thus, there is no possibility that cookies can be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers.

The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie is used for the purpose of creating conversion statistics. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

Further information and Google’s privacy policy can be found under https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/. How you can deactivate personalized advertising and conversion tracking by Google, see https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de. You can also prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the online offer and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.
